As an international hub, the UAE’s hospitals serve a diverse mix of local Arabic speakers and global visitors. The core goal of this project was to ensure patients from all language backgrounds can navigate their journey clearly and confidently. We delivered a localized medical guidance floor sticker solution tailored to the hospital’s needs:
1. Localized Signage for Precise Navigation
The floor stickers use official UAE Arabic as the primary language, with labels such as “تخزينات الدواء” (Pharmacy) for pharmacy areas and “نرحب بكم إلى العناية الصحية” (Welcome to the Care Area) for directions to nurse stations. These are paired with the universally recognized cross medical symbol. This design allows local patients to identify locations instantly without language conversion, while international visitors can use the symbols for supplementary understanding, ensuring coverage for a diverse audience.

2. Soft Aesthetics Integrated with High-End Spaces
The floor stickers feature a palette of light gray and pale blue that complements the hospital’s beige-toned interiors. With gentle shapes like clouds and circles, they visually align with the curved ceiling lighting and wooden wall panels. The rounded corners and low-saturation colors avoid visual clutter, ensuring visibility without disrupting the hospital’s high-end, welcoming atmosphere—aligning with the aesthetic standards of UAE medical facilities.

3. Full-Scenario Traffic Flow Optimization
The floor sticker system covers the entire patient journey from entry to consultation, including functional markers at pharmacy entrances and directional guides in corridors. Arrow symbols and repeated layouts reduce patient inquiries, ease the workload at nurse stations, and improve overall hospital operational efficiency. During peak hours, color-coded sections and clear arrows also help divert foot traffic and minimize congestion.

This project transformed floor signage into a warm link between space and people. While fulfilling functional guidance, it also conveys care for patients from multicultural backgrounds through localized design, adding a human touch to the hospital’s professional medical services. It also provides a replicable model for spatial optimization in UAE healthcare settings.
