In a UK hospital, we provided our client with two types of floor graphic solutions that combine functionality with visual appeal.
The first is a multi-colored departmental wayfinding system, where each medical department (such as Nephrology, Urology, Neurology, etc.) is assigned a distinct color-coded path with clear labels. This allows patients and visitors to find their destinations quickly, reduces the likelihood of getting lost, and improves overall appointment efficiency.
The second integrates wall and floor guidance with motivational messaging. Using colorful lines and bold arrows, the design blends navigation with emotional care — for example, “Smile more, it releases endorphins which can relieve stress,” adding warmth and positivity to the hospital environment.
